Presently I am at the second year studying Civil Engineering at Dili Institute of Technology (DIT). But I cannot continue my study any more to the next semester (the following year) because my family cannot support me. Actually I come from poor family.
I found your website and your email in my country East Timor. The purpose of my visiting you is I would like to submit my proposal to you. On the proposal I attached my Academic Transcription from the university, Technical High School Certificate, Resident Identity and my Passport. Here is my proposal, and I am sorry with my English.
PROPOSAL
Our country is Timor Leste. Timor Leste is a new country and very young, because we just got our independence day on 20th May 2002. Therefore this country needs many developments in many areas and departments, such as: engineering area, economically, technological, social, health, education political, tourism, agriculture etc. Throughout all departments above, this country can get its development and can grow up as well like another country. One of the important department is engineering. So I will prefer to engineering area because Engineering is the discipline and profession of applying technical and scientific knowledge and utilizing natural laws and physical resources in order to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that realize a desired objective and meet specified criteria. “The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property.”
One who practices engineering is called an engineer, and those licensed to do so may have more formal designations such as Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or Incorporated Engineer. The broad discipline of engineering encompasses a range of more specialized sub disciplines, each with a more specific emphasis on certain fields of application and particular areas of technology.
Engineering is also the practical application of science and math to solve problems, and it is everywhere in the world around us. From the start to the end of each day, engineering technologies improve the ways that we communicate, work, travel, stay healthy, and entertain ourselves.
Engineers are problem-solvers who want to make things work more efficiently and quickly and less expensively. From computer chips and satellites to medical devices and renewable energy technologies, engineering makes our modern life possible. In particular, electrical engineers and computer engineers have a wide range of study options and career paths that let them design, build, and manage those ideas into reality.
The contribution of engineering to the country is on the design of innovative technologies to reduce poverty, promote sustainable development and address other United Nations Millennium Development Goals, in such fields as environmental protection, energy, water supply and sanitation, waste management, use of natural resources, medical care, nutrition, housing, hygiene, disaster protection, mobility, communication and climate change - a key concern of the Mondialogo Engineering Award.
As a citizen of this country I need to contribute my self to develop this country with the skills and knowledge that I gained during I was in Technical High School. But the skill that I have recently is not enough and very limit, even though I am also at the second year of the university. I am coming to your presence just to ask your help and support in order for me to continue my study to the next semester because my family could not support me any more. As I told you that I come from poor family. I believe that after I graduated from university I will learn and gain more knowledge and skills.
Since I was a child I have dreamt to become an engineer in civil construction area. But then I do not prove yet it because my family could not support me any more. Therefore if I could get any possibility from your agency I would like to prove it soon as possible.
In conclusion I am very interest to become an engineer in one day in order for me can develop my new country. If I could get any support from you, actually I would like to transfer to Indonesian country as well. Because in my country specially in the Institute that I belong to during two years, we did not have any practicalities equipments, laboratory practicality, and library or we can say incompletely of facilities etc.
My planning forward is I would like to continue my study across to Indonesian country at GADJAH MADA UNIVERSITY (UGM) in Yokyakarta as soon as possible. The reason why I chose Indonesia to seeking knowledge there, because there has complete facilities, such as: equipment tools for practicality, laboratory, library and etc. I believe that when I finish my study over Indonesia I will bring more knowledge and skills that I gained to my country. And in the same time I can contribute my self to develop this country this country.
In my request I have putted amount money. These money I will use it to pay the university, rent house, food, buying books, transportation from my country to Indonesia and to treat also the documents that needed and etc.

? Transportation for coming back from Indonesia to East Timor = USD $ 300,00

I am sorry for coming back to your presence. Actually I just want explain to you what is my desire. Recently I am very interest to continue my study to the next semester but I have no more possibility. And I would like to promote the education as well as possible. Therefore I am asking you to sponsor me.
The budget that I need to finishing my bachelor degree is amount USD $ 8,450. These money I will use it for three years (3 years)
I always doing many efforts to find the solution for my study ever since I stopped my last semester, but I have never got any good progress. Hi,
I have a question. I went to trial on a DWI case where I was sure to win as I was sound asleep on private property. Because of the twisted laws in alcohol charges, I didn't stand a change at winning. My attorneys did not set me up for an appeal as they did not object to a single thing. The trial was an absolute circus and the 20 minute vehicle of the back of my vehicle, no audio and cuts off before I even get out (I am not seen from start to finish), no tests given/offered. Yet I still somehow lost that case as the media brainwashes people into thinking that your common drinker is a raging alcoholic out to murder using their cars. The truth didn't matter. Only the conviction mattered. The state offered me a 'bribe' of fine only, which I turned down as I wasn't about to plea guilty for something I didn't do. Over a year into p.o. and being a model client, because there is nothing left for my p.o. to 'supervise' as I've done everything above and beyond in record time, she states I now need to get a sponsor and work the 12 steps. I have repeatedly told this woman I am not an alcoholic and these AA meetings 2 weeks for 2 years only prove to me that I'm not an alcoholic that much more. Now just to appease the probation dept., I have attempted to get a sponsor yet have been flat out told "no" he will not sponsor me knowing good and well my story and how pissed off I am for what has happened to me. He also refuses to give him number to the p.o. to call him as he states this is against AA credo. I cannot force someone to sponsor me and I'm certainly not ever going to incriminate myself stating I'm an alcoholic when I'm not one and my life has certainly not become unmanageable. Wondering if she is in her rights to demand I do this when I cannot possibly control the actions of another person-- only my own. I cannot force a person to sponsor me and they all know my story of being wrongfully convicted as I've been attending 2 meetings a week for 2 years forced on by the probation depts. Of course I could write a book here, but will try to keep this as short as possible. Curious what your thoughts are on the matter. I have contacted an attorney whom let me to the 12-step coercion, which is exactly what the state is doing to everyone that merely drinks alcohol. AA loves this set-up as AA banks on many of those ordered to attend AA to become brainwashed as well, which in turn creates more revenue by those that feel obligated to contribute funds to those baskets passed around halfway through the meetings. In case this strikes a chord with anyone, no need to get angry with my words, these are just facts that I have witnessed since attending AA for the past year. 31 court papers in my Saturday night meeting and only 60 people in the room. What does that tell you...? Cuz I sure as heck know what it tells me!

Hi my name is Kathy and I am desperately looking for a female sponsor. My first sponsor was a pill addict and I take medication for mental health and medical issues. I also have bi-polar and I get in trouble for talking too much and not on topic. I was also yelled at by this one woman who is a recovering herion addict. Another time I fell asleep in the meeting due to the meds I took after haveing a cyst taken out of my ovaries and endometrosis. I need to work the steps. I have been in treatment its been the life afterwards that sucks. Please someone help me.
